Our aim is to create a local cider in a sustainable manner from local orchards for the communtity and beyond.
Our vision for Northcroft Cider is to start planting our own orchards in the autumn of 2022. These will be located off Northcroft Lane in the village of Collingham, Nottinghamshire. They will be planted with a mixture of varieties of apples and pears in the style of a traditional orchard, meaning there will be less trees per hectare with the trees lasting for a lifetime. This is rather than a commercial orchard where the trees are felled and replanted after 15 years, making our business more sustainably focused and heading down the argoecology route. We intend to grow the fruit in an organic manner and as environmentally friendly as possible, to produce a high quality cider and perry for you to enjoy!
